Beksi is a martial art from Indonesia

in my location live very close with the martial arts of Indonesia that is silat, but silat is in my location has its own name and has a different technique from the usual silat, it is beksi. Silat movements usually use all limbs for attack and defend another with Beksi, Beksi just use both hands to attack and defend, sometimes there is also the use of both legs for offense and defense, why because some say use foot don't polite . Beksi very close to the Betawi culture, for example when the wedding Betawi culture, Beksi there is to enliven the event, the event is palang pintu. beksi word delivered from the two word is bek and si, bek in the Dutch language which means defense and si in the Chinese language, which means 4 so Beksi it means the defense of the four corners. or Beksi also is an abbreviation that could mean “ Berbaktilah Engkau Kepada Seruan Ilahi  “ in the english “obedient you to the call of God”, as the application calls the good deeds that must be lived after a person learns Beksi. Since its emergence in the mid-19th century, Beksi gradually spread to all regions of Batavia and surrounding areas, and also evolved tactics and variations movement. The development and deployment of Beksi not separated from the role and services of the four main disciples Ki Tan (Ki Jidan) ie, Ki Ceng Ok ( somebody Chinese descendant) of Kampung Dadap, Ki Tempang and Ki Muna of Kampung Rawa Lumpang, and Ki Dalang Ji’ah of Teluk Naga. to date Beksi developments quite encouraging.
